Default Re: Games that can be played sitting down

Hi,

There are lots of games that can be played sitting down, depending on what you are teaching:

1. Hangman for drilling the alphabet
2. Relay races where an object is passed down a row instead of the normal running relay race, eg: if you are working on adjectives you can get the first child in each row to write down a sentence on a piece of paper like "I like chips". The first child must pass the paper back to the child sitting behind him, who will add an adjective to the sentence like, "I like greasy chips". The second child can then hand the paper to the third child behind him who will add an adjective like, "I like fat, greasy chips" and so on until every child in the row has had a turn. The first row to finish is the winner
3. Broken down telephone for speaking exercises

Hope this helps!
