Also, you could have some of the students report back on their partner once the interview is over. That is if you have extra time.
Additionally you could have them write 2 of each type of sentence (simple past and present perfect.) One sentence is true and one sentence is false.
In pairs have them read their sentences and a partner has to guess which on is true.
That could be an activity you insert after the explanation and before introducing the interogative.
Lastly, you could bring that activity back at the end (once you covered question formation) and instead of just saying something like "I think you have lived here for 10 years.", they could add on the question "Have you lived here for 10 years?" |
