1. Set up a situation that the students can relate to. This will encourage them to use facial expressions and gestures in a natural context.
2. Use role plays as well as conversations. Role plays allow students to assume different personas, which means they will use langauge differently for each role. A boss would use different langauge when speaking to an employee, and it's good for students to become exposed and use many different forms of English. Again, gestures and facial expressions reinforce the context. |
